Whether in the home or on the go, MTM’s new Tactical Pistol Cases make handgun storage easy

by the Shoot On Staff

If you’re like us, you often take more than one firearm to the range. Between shooting support gear, target stands, and ammunition boxes, we have more than enough to tote between the truck and the shooting bench. Carting different-size boxes of handguns makes it all the more challenging.

Recently, MTM Case-Gard introduced a new line of handgun cases that make pistol transportation and storage a whole lot easier — the Tactical Pistol Compact Case and the Tactical Pistol Sub-Compact Case.

The cases are made of molded plastic with a hinged lid and latch. A handle is integrated into the lid and lays flat in the lid for stackable storage. Also built into the lid is a rubber gasket. While not making the case watertight when submersed, it does provide content protection from the elements, effectively making it a dry-storage box.

Inside, the Tactical Pistol cases come with pre-cut military-spec foam. One cut accepts the barrel and forward portion of the frame while a sliding foam piece within this cut offers a bump stop for the trigger guard. Two additional cutouts are included to accommodate magazines. Outside dimension for the sub-compact case are 8.5×4.5×6.9 inches; the compact case measures 11.3x5x7.2 inches on the outside.

Beyond the practical function of the Tactical Pistol Cases, they are also made in the U.S. and are affordable. For more info on these and other innovative products from MTM Case-Gard, visit their website.
