Irving, TX – Cold Steel, manufacturer and innovator of purpose-built knives and blade tools for everyday carry, tactical, and hunting applications, has expanded its popular Voyager folding lockback knife series with the release of two new blade profiles.
The Drop Point Voyagers join the Clip Point, Vaquero, Tanto, and Kris Voyager blade options for 2021. Two sizes of the new Drop Point Voyager are available. The large Drop Point Voyager blade measures four inches long and 3.5mm thick while the XL Drop Point Voyager spans 5.5 inches and 4mm in thickness. The blades are constructed of tough AUS 10A steel for edge strength and ease of maintenance.
In addition to blades that are ideal for a broad range of general and technical cutting applications, blade control and overall knife retention are enhanced thanks to the ergonomic design of the Griv-Ex™ handles reinforced with heat-treated 6061 aluminum liners. These slip-resistant grips include deep finger grooving and a “hooked” back end to ensure a solid hold for safe operation during aggressive cutting operations. Additional safety features include thumb studs for controlled opening and Cold Steel’s renowned Tri-Ad® locking mechanism—the safest, most secure, and shock-resistant locking system on the market today.
