Real Avid Introduces the X3 Driver™ System

Real Avid, the leader in DIY for Guns^®, continues to simplify and to enhance real-world performance of the essential tools needed by do-it-yourself gun enthusiasts and professional gunsmiths alike. The latest problem-solver by Real Avid is the all-new X3 multi-function driver system.

Gun builds, modifications, and routine maintenance often require several driver options, depending on the project. The new X3 Driver™ takes all these varied applications into consideration.

Based on a conventional ratchet driver, the X3 Driver™ takes a turn from the ordinary with its 72-position ratchet mechanism designed to deliver maximum leverage and exact bit positioning. The X3 Driver™ features a knurled bit rotation wheel at the back of the driver, allowing easy, one-finger alignment of the bit for working in tight areas. The X3 also includes a modular T-handle that can be installed perpendicular in the driver handle when quick adjustments and “by feel” torque are required. Included in the X3 Driver™ system is a straight-shank bit driver that accepts quarter-inch bits and is ideally suited for traditional screwdriver tasks. The heft of the ratchet and driver handles combine with high-traction knurling to give the user confidence, control, and a sure grip for both light and high-torque applications.

Real Avid is offering the X3 Driver™ system in the Smart-Torq® Adjustable Limiter and X3 Driver™ Kit. This kit includes the X3 Driver™, 12-piece bit set, hex-to-square adapter, and 1/2-inch socket and adds another new-for-2025 Real Avid product, the Smart-Torq® Adjustable Limiter. This is a precision torque wrench adjustable from 15 to 65 in/lbs in 1 in/lb increments — an essential tool for installing scope rings, mounts, and actions screws. MSRP: $99.99.

The Smart-Torq® Fixed Limiter and X3 Driver™ Kit (#AVSTFLX3KIT) comes with the X3 Driver™ system, 12 driver bits (hex, Torx, slot, and Phillips), 1/4-inch hex-to-square adapter, and a 1/2-inch socket. Also included are six of Real Avid’s all-new Smart-Torq® Fixed Limiters. Pre-set to 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, and 65 in/lbs, the 1/4-inch drive Smart-Torq® Fixed Limiters work with the assorted bits to ensure precise torque on critical screw applications like action screws and optic mounting hardware.
