Smith & Wesson Brands, Inc. (NASDAQ Global Select: SWBI), a leader in firearm manufacturing and design, announces today the release of the Model 1854 Stealth Hunter™, chambered in .45-70 Government.
When Smith & Wesson first introduced the 1854 series in .45-70, it was offered in both the traditional walnut and stainless steel/synthetic models. Starting today, this classic American rifle cartridge is available in the enhanced Stealth Hunter configuration and includes a 5+1 capacity. Compared to original Model 1854 rifles, Stealth Hunters are designed with a shortened 16.5-inch 410 stainless-steel barrel that contributes to a lighter weight of 6.5-pounds and overall length of 34.3 inches. Built for both hunters and shooting enthusiasts alike, these rifles also include a large loop lever to allow for cycling with gloves in the field and an 11/16×24 threaded muzzle to accommodate suppressors.
In addition to their sleek, all-black Armornite® aesthetic, Model 1854 Stealth Hunters come equipped with modern upgrades that not only catch the eye but enhance performance right out of the box. Key features include a flat trigger design for consistent finger placement, an extended 10.5-inch Picatinny rail for a broader range of optic use, a newly designed T6 aluminum forend with fifteen M-LOK® compatible slots for accessory attachments, and a HIVIZ® H3 fiber optic front sight to improve visibility in both low-light and daylight conditions.
Elevate your legacy with the Model 1854 Stealth Hunter Series and experience the perfect blend of tradition and innovation. For more information, visit S&W® MODEL 1854 STEALTH HUNTER™ 45-70 GOVT | Smith & Wesson.
