FALCO C917 Kydex Holsters Add OWB/IWB Carry Versatility

FALCO Holsters has introduced the C917 and C917 L, two new strong-side carry holsters developed in collaboration with the 3 of 7 Project. The FALCO C917 Kydex holster is designed to convert between outside-the-waistband (OWB) and inside-the-waistband (IWB) carry, while the C917 L extends the same basic configuration to pistols equipped with weapon-mounted lights or lasers.

Both models combine a Kydex holster body with a perforated full-grain Italian leather backer intended to improve comfort and airflow during extended wear. According to FALCO, development also drew on the 3 of 7 Project’s professional experience with Navy SEAL and SWAT operations.

The two holsters are aimed at users who want one strong-side platform that can transition between OWB and IWB carry without requiring a separate holster.

Hybrid Kydex-and-leather holsters occupy a useful middle ground for concealed carriers who want the rigidity and repeatable retention of molded Kydex without having a hard shell directly against the body. FALCO’s perforated leather backer follows that formula while adding the ability to move the same holster between belt-mounted OWB and tuckable IWB configurations.

The open-bottom design also broadens compatibility for pistols fitted with threaded barrels, while optional red-dot configurations address the continuing shift toward optic-equipped defensive handguns. For users carrying a weapon light or laser, the C917 L provides the corresponding light-bearing option.
