Taurus Shooting Team Scores Big at Bighorn Classic

July 2021 (Bainbridge, GA) – Taurus, manufacturer of premium handguns for defense, hunting, and sport shooting, is excited to report that the newly expanded Taurus Shooting Team delivered a strong showing at the recent 2021 Bighorn Classic – Colorado State Championships. The event was held June 25-27 in Grand Junction and featured 12 stages with 242 competitors vying for the top scores.

The Bighorn Classic was the first match in which veteran champion shooter KC Eusebio and new competitor Trent Eichler competed as Team Taurus members. It also was the first match in which KC, Trent, and Team Captain Jessie Harrison participated as a team. “Since this was Trent’s first big match,” said Harrison, “KC and I flew out to shoot the Bighorn Classic with him and to provide our support.”

“My first big match at the Bighorn Classic went well,” said Eichler. “Shooting with Jessie and KC on the Taurus Team was an honor. They have both taught me a lot and I look forward to learning more from two of my biggest role models.”

Eichler participated in the Single Stack division, shooting a custom Taurus 1911 single-stack to place 7th overall in this popular class.

“This was the first time we all got to compete as Taurus Team members and we had a blast,” said Eusebio. “Being able to mentor Trent with Jessie made the competition even more rewarding. I can’t wait to take home more victories for the Taurus family.”

Eusebio competed in the Open Division with a custom open gun, taking both First Place in the class and Overall Match Winner.

“I couldn’t be prouder of this team and how well we all performed at our first match together,” said Team Captain Harrison. Harrison captured the Ladies Open Division at the event with a custom open gun.

“The Bighorn Classic was a great indicator of what KC and I should be focusing on for our upcoming Nationals,” Harrison continued. “It was also a great starting match for Trent to show how hard he’s been training. Having one another to work with and learn from will make us all raise the bar of our own success, and I look forward to seeing how we progresses and grow together.”
