The Tac-Pod delivers stability and maneuverability without the dreaded bulk
by the Shoot On staff
As more shooters begin to employ their AR rifles for field work (as opposed to weekend range shooting), the desire and need for a solid bipod increases. Hunting coyotes or shooting prairie dogs? You definitely want a bipod for shooting while sitting or in the prone positions.
An optic-laden AR weighs enough as it is, and adding a bipod and mount only ups the weight and bulk. To keep things manageable in the field, TRUGLO developed the new Tac-Pod Carbon Pro.
The Tac-Pod features lightweight carbon-fiber adjustable legs to minimize weight without sacrificing strength or stability. This bipod is offered in two length configurations (6- to 9-inch adjustable and 9- to 13- inch adjustable) and two mounting options (Picatinny and M-LOK/Key Mod).
Both mounting options utilize a pivoting base that provides three-axis movement to meet changing shooting conditions—especially important for a hunting bipod. A locking lever positioned between the legs allows you to easily loosen the joint and rotate the rifle up or down, change level, and pan left or right. Padded, rubberized feet offer good purchase and quiet operation on any surface.
