Steiner has introduced the Steiner MPS 2.0 Micro Pistol Sight, an updated enclosed-emitter red-dot optic developed for duty, defensive, and hard-use applications. Designed by Steiner Germany, the second-generation model adds longer battery life, revised controls, easier battery replacement, and additional safeguards against unintended adjustments.

The MPS 2.0 retains the original optic’s compact, all-metal construction while adding a reinforced housing and integrated hood around the deep-set viewing window. It uses the ACRO mounting footprint and can be installed on compatible optics-ready pistols, carbines, short-barreled rifles, and shotguns.

“The original MPS established itself as one of the toughest enclosed emitter pistol optics on the market,” said Jordan Egli, Steiner USA Director of Marketing. “With the MPS 2.0, we’ve refined every aspect of the user experience while preserving the rugged reliability professionals expect from Steiner.”

Oversized brightness buttons are intended to simplify adjustments while wearing gloves. A control-lock feature prevents unintended setting changes, while the magnetic battery cover holds the battery in place during installation.

Steiner’s revised electronics provide more than 90,000 hours of operation at Level 4 brightness and more than 27,000 hours at Level 5. The selectable 13-hour automatic shutoff can be enabled when additional battery conservation is preferred.

The enclosed-emitter layout protects the diode from rain, dirt, debris, and other environmental exposure that could interfere with an open-emitter optic. Its waterproof construction, broad operating-temperature range, and ACRO footprint position the MPS 2.0 for professional use as well as defensive firearms that may be exposed to demanding conditions.

The Steiner MPS 2.0 Micro Pistol Sight has an MSRP of $631.99 and is covered by the Steiner Heritage Warranty, which provides lifetime coverage without requiring a receipt or product registration.

The Steiner MPS 2.0 Micro Pistol Sight updates the original MPS with longer runtime, improved controls, and easier maintenance while retaining its enclosed-emitter construction and multi-platform compatibility.
