Whether you’re out at dawn or dusk, in shadows or under heavy cloud-cover, the new Daylight Max lens features optimized, low-light polarization that delivers superior clarity and contrast. The Daylight Max lens allow for greater light transmission without sacrificing the benefits of polarization–meaning you’ll still get the benefits of reduced glare and the ability to see beneath the surface of the water.

“If you spend enough time in the field, especially during early mornings, late evenings, or anytime there’s significant cloud cover, you’ll find yourself in a situation where you want to be able to utilize the polarization your eyewear offers–but the light is so low, you wind up limiting your vision, otherwise,” said Zach Bird, Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “Our new Daylight Max lenses are made for those situations. They offer greater light transition than our standard lenses, and still deliver everything you expect from polarized eyewear. Whether you’re trying to spot elk on a distant ridge or looking for that trophy bass under a submerged log, Daylight Max lenses will turn low-light situations into low-light opportunities.”

Daylight Max lenses will be available across six of Leupold’s Performance Eyewear frames: Switchback, DeSoto, Cheyenne, Bridger, Becnara, and the Tracer. The Switchback’s wraparound design and bold lines deliver full-coverage protection, while its stepped temples provide a secure, comfortable fit. The DeSoto combines a modern squared frame with a lightweight yet rugged build, delivering sharp style and all-day comfort for any pursuit. The Cheyenne delivers full-wrap coverage with a contoured frame designed for all-day comfort, maximum protection, and uncompromising performance in all conditions. The Bridger combines a sleek frame shape with a distinctive double-bridge design, presenting a distinctive and modern take on the classic aviator. The Becnara blends our legendary durability with a bold everyday style, delivering a rugged look in a lightweight frame that’s built for adventure. The Tracer, meanwhile, offers ANSI Z87.1+ ballistic protection, and interchangeable lenses (included).

Unlike typical low-light eyewear, the Daylight Max lens features a silver mirror finish that hides its yellow, daylight base. It’s all the clarity and contrast you need but with a reflective face that makes these lenses the perfect blend of style and function. Purpose built for all-day wear, its lightweight polycarbonate construction reduces fatigue–making while delivering the kind of rugged, high-performance optics serious hunters and angler’s demand.

Other key features include Leupold’s Guard-ion hydrophobic coating which repels dirt, water, and fingerprints to keep your view clear in all conditions. DiamondCoat-hardened lenses stand up to scratches, while a no-slip bridge with soft-touch rubber pads delivers all-day comfort and stability.
