Every year more products, and companies, are created.  Some dazzle, others fall flat.  The start of the 2018 ATA Show has been full of  products that are truly innovative and show the foresight of their companies leaders.  I have noticed four companies in particular that have stood out – whether it is thoughtfulness of design, handling, innovation or quality.  There are still two more days left of the show so there are bound to be more products that catch the eye, but first at first glance here are my standouts.

ScentLok

ScentLok revealed their brand new line of odor elimination and prevention here at the show, with quite the style I might add.  The OZ series of products covers you from pre-hunt when they are stored in your tote, during your trip with car accessories and most importantly when you are gearing up and hit the field.  The OZ line was engineered to reactivate your activated carbon garments, while simultaneously deodorizing your other gear and accessories.

The sizes of the OZ systems range with the area they cover and can even eliminate scent in an entire room.  With their new line of base layers and other clothing with AMP (Active Mapping Performance) you can be certain to remain as scent free as possible.

New Archery Products

We all know NAP for their incredibly practical broadheads, fletchings and arrow rests.  The addition to their family this year has expanded in comparative size with the Mantis 3 Ground Blind.  This was made for an archer, by an archer, without question.  Just by looking at the design with its peaks and windows you can tell this hub blind has been researched in-depth.  The Mantis 3 is the larger version that can accommodate more people, but set up is much faster than anything else on the market.

The Dragnet Window System is adjustable and increases your concealment.  It is 50% lighter than most of the traditional hub-style blinds, but still quite durable due to the 600 Denier oxford weave poly fabric.   These units starting shipping next month and you can pre-order if you Click Here.

FireDisc

Every hunter should eat what they kill.  The folks over at FireDisc emphatically believe that as well and have developed a portable cooker with no assembly required.  These portable propane cookers are made with high carbon steel for excellent heat distribution and retention.  You clean and season the FireDisc the same way you would a cast iron, making clean-up a breeze.  It’s solid built frame is meant to be put through the ringer and keep performing.  Whether you are at deer camp, in your backyard, tailgating or even on a boat, this versatile cooker will be sure to impress.

The FireDisc also tackles one of the biggest concerns for outdoor cooking – wind.  With their Wind Helmet to protect against mother nature, the cooking process will be a breeze.  It comes with a full line of cooking accessories and a hearty traveling is in the works for this year.

TenPoint

It seems like anytime you talk about crossbows, TenPoint is always the first name that pops into your head – and for good reason.  Their newest addition to their brand is the Nitro X.  This reverse cam crossbow shoots up to 440 fps and is 7 inches from axle-to-axle.  It comes with the trusty ACUdraw Pro cocking sled. TenPoints innovation really shines when it comes to the never before seen cable configuration, the SLING-SHOT and Vector Quad cable technologies.

Rick Bednar, TenPoint CEO, shared with media that their new line of accessories, Evo-X will be manufacturing arrows, cases and much more as well.  Bednar spoke about the frustrations he saw with the increasing speeds of crossbows and the lack of stiffness in arrows.  His philosophy must be if you want the best, make it yourself.  The Evo-X accessories will all be standard on their Nitro X Elite package.  Pre-orders are also available for this as well, just Click Here.
